CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Multiple lanes have been shut down following a two-vehicle crash in Clarksville that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.
The Clarksville Police Department said the crash happened around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4 in front of the AT&T store on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
The crash reportedly involved a vehicle and a motorcycle. Officials said the motorcyclist was flown to Nashville via a life-flight helicopter and his status is unknown at this time.
In a news release sent out at 3:22 p.m., authorities said Fatal Accident Crash Investigators (FACT) were heading to the area to process the scene.
Both southbound lanes of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard were closed for nearly two hours and motorists were asked to find an alternate route until the scene was cleared.
Just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, the road reopened.
Authorities added that this is an ongoing investigation and no other information was immediately available.
