Nashville man sought by Clarksville police for overnight shooting

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Clarksville police have identified the person they say is responsible for a shooting that happened in the overnight hours Saturday morning, and they are asking the public's help in locating him.

According to the Clarksville Police Department (CPD), detectives with District 2 Criminal Investigations identified Michael Cason, 30, of Nashville, as the suspect of a midnight shooting on McGraw Street.

CPD said officers responded to an address on McGraw Street after receiving a 911 call of a shooting that had already occurred around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had been shot three times. They immediately performed life-saving measures before the man was transported to a Nashville hospital by helicopter.

Police said the victim is currently in critical condition.

Cason has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated kidnapping, and two counts of aggravated burglary, according to CPD.

Anyone with any information as to Cason's whereabouts is to call 911 immediately, CPD said. He is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be confronted.

The investigation into the McGraw Street shooting remains ongoing.
