Montgomery County crews fight two fires at same building in two weeks

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Multiple fire stations in Montgomery County spent their Thursday afternoon working to extinguish a fire at a structure they responded to two weeks ago.

According to Montgomery County Fire Service, personnel from multiple stations were sent to the 800 block of Oak Plains Road for reports of a fire shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.

When crews arrived, they reportedly observed flames coming from the roof, which had collapsed, and the windows.

Firefighters were able to control the blaze and no one was injured, officials said.

Montgomery County Fire Service said crews responded to the structure approximately two weeks ago where a "family member admitted to starting a fire."

The fire is being investigated by Montgomery County Fire Service and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. No other information was released.
