CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- More than a week after a teenager died following a shooting in Clarksville, authorities announced a young man has been arrested in connection with the case.

The Clarksville Police Department said a 911 call came in shortly before 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 2 from a person at 101st Adult Dentistry, saying his passenger had been shot. However, law enforcement determined the shooting had happened at Chum’s Discount Tobacco Store in the 800 block of Peachers Mill Road.

The victim, 15-year-old Ikehliayon Hite of Clarksville, was transported to Tennova Healthcare, but officials announced on Feb. 3 that he died from his injuries.

Police said 21-year-old Jay Von Farley was identified as a person of interest and has been charged with criminal homicide. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on Thursday, Feb. 13 and is currently being held without bond.
