'Most Wanted' shooting suspect taken into custody in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man wanted in connection with a Clarksville shooting who was recently added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's "Most Wanted" list was taken into custody in Nashville.

Clarksville police reported the department was notified around 3:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, that Michael Cason was arrested.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Cason was located and subsequently arrested at a home on Lebanon Pike. He was booked on a local outstanding probation violation, police said.

Cason, 30, was wanted by the Clarksville Police Department and the TBI for attempted murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated burglary.

The shooting happened on McGraw Street on Saturday, Sept. 21. Officers discovered a man who had been shot three times. They immediately performed life-saving measures before the victim was taken to a Nashville hospital by helicopter with critical injuries.

No additional information was immediately released.
