NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities have charged two people in connection to a Clarksville man's murder after he was lured and killed at a home in Donelson, officials said.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the incident took place on Aug. 19 at a short-term rental on Maplecrest Drive in Donelson.
Police initially reported that 20-year-old Xavier Johnson, of Clarksville, was lured to the home and arrived just before 1 a.m. with an unidentified woman —believed to Markaisha Keal—who led him to the back of the property.
Investigators say a gunman—believed to be Jeremiah Henderson— was hiding nearby, approached Johnson and shot him multiple times. He and Keal then allegedly went through Johnson's pockets and took his belongings.
According to officials, the gunman and woman left together. Meanwhile, Johnson died at the scene.
Amid further investigation, investigators said they learned that Johnson and Keal had been communicating via Instagram before the shooting occurred.
On Monday, Nov. 11, MNPD announced that 20-year-old Markaisha Keal and 18-year-old Jeremiah Henderson were taken into custody "for the brutal murder of Xavier Johnson."

Keal and Henderson were reportedly arrested Sunday night by the Clarksville Police Department.
Clarksville police added that they took both suspects into custody during a domestic violence call and noticed that they were wanted in Nashville on outstanding criminal homicide charges.
The duo left Nashville a day after the shooting on a Greyhound bus that was bound for Biloxi, Mississippi, MNPD said. Criminal homicide warrants were issued for the suspects on Oct. 31 and entered into a national law enforcement database.
Keal was returned to Nashville Monday and booked in Metro Jail where she is being held without bond. Meanwhile, Henderson remains jailed in Montgomery County and will be returned to Nashville after his issues in Clarksville are resolved, police said.
